KixCare is pleased to partner with Chris Coulter to introduce youth mental health services through our KixCommunity program.
KixCommunity is KixCare’s dedicated mental health program, providing employees with the care navigation and support they require to effectively manage their children’s mental health concerns.
KixCare has established a national network of mental health professionals to support kids and families, including psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, behaviour analysts, specialized nurse practitioners, and other specialists.

The Challenge for Employees:
- More than 22% of Canadian kids are experiencing mental health-related concerns.
- 6 in 10 working parents reported being “very” to “extremely concerned” about their child’s emotional health and development or behaviour.
- Wait times for pediatric mental health services average 9 months, sometimes as long as 2 years, and 40% of parents seeking mental health services can’t access the care their kids need.
Parents don’t know where to turn and cannot access timely care, and employers are directly impacted:
- 53% of parents are interrupted at work because of their children’s mental health.
- On average, parents with young kids miss an additional 6 days of work per year managing their kids’ care than their colleagues without children, with working mothers disproportionately impacted.
KixCommunity members receive:
- Personalized intake and ongoing support from KixCare’s Patient Care Coordinators to determine the most appropriate mental health resources for each child’s specific needs
- Guidance on how to maximize the mental health coverage included in their benefits program
- Access to KixCare’s mental health resource library and ongoing webinars from Canada’s leading pediatric mental health experts
- Timely virtual appointments* arranged with KixCare’s mental health providers across Canada to support mental health concerns and conditions including:
- ADD, ADHD, OCD, ODD
- Anxiety and depression
- Neurodivergence
- Eating disorders & body dysmorphia
